A new Josh Anderson has been acquired by Kent Hughes and the Canadiens

After more than three weeks in a Tricolore uniform, it's safe to say that Gurianov has acclimated well to his new environment with the Habs.

Although Dadonov has eight points in 11 games with the Stars, the CH rookie has not done badly at all, with five goals and three assists in 13 games, after only managing two goals before his arrival in Montreal this season.

While the sample of what we've seen from Gurianov is pretty short so far, he does have some attributes that could make him a real steal for Kent Hughes, if he can ever reach his full potential under Martin St. Louis.

In fact, even a veteran journalist made a rather flattering comparison to Gurianov.

In connection with this new acquisition, the journalist François Gagnon of RDS believes that the Habs could have in their possession a new Josh Anderson!

Of course, it's way too early to say that Denis Gurianov can bring as much as Josh Anderson can do on the ice, but there are some similarities between the two players, including speed and a powerful shot. They even have a similar physique, with a few pounds less for the Russian player.

We'll have to wait and see if the veteran journalist is right, as the latter will be a compensated free agent at the end of the season.

However, with the performance he has offered since his arrival, there is a good chance that the Canadiens' management will offer him a contract to play in the top 9 of the team next year.
