A superstar forward of the Anaheim Ducks has been linked to the Canucks, per NHL analyst Noah Strang, and that player is none other than Trevor Zegras.

It will be make-or-break summer for the Vancouver Canucks with President Jim Rutherford and General Manager Patrik Allvin looking to add to the roster and avoid missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs in back-to-back years.
Rutherford recently pledged an active offseason, and the trade market was a go-to source for the potential fix.

Brock Boeser will likely leave the team on July 1st, leaving a gaping hole to fill

The Canucks have been spoken of with regard to a list of names as they look to plug key holes, most notably at their second-line center position and perhaps an upper-six winger, if Brock Boeser walks in free agency on July 1, which appears increasingly probable.
Recently for 'Daily Hive', NHL analyst Noah Strang wrote about Vancouver's trade potential, including Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras.
"Zegras' doubters will point to his flashy play style and say that's not how you win in the NHL, especially when the playoffs roll around. However, there's no doubt that Zegras is exceptionally skilled and has tons of potential. It'd be a risky trade but one that could pay off for the Canucks." Strang said.
The 24-year-old was built up entering the NHL and was posting back-to-back 60+ point seasons before being victimized by injury last year.
Nonetheless, Zegras is one of the most promising young stars in the league with world-class hands and playmaking skills.
With both Zegras and the Ducks in a position to move on, Vancouver would be the natural fit. He still has one year left on his deal with a $5.75 million cap hit and will be a restricted free agent with arbitration rights in 2026.
If available, Strang says the Canucks should consider seriously what it would cost to bring the 2019 ninth overall pick to B.C.
