The Panthers are making a last-minute lineup change vs. the Oilers for Game 3, as A.J. Greer comes in and will replace Florida's Jesper Boqvist.
AJ Greer, who was out with a lower-body injury, will be in the lineup versus Edmonton in Game 3 on Monday, Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 reported.
Gregor also stated that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was on the ice for practice today after he was listed as day-to-day, and it remains to be seen if he will play.
Tonight will mark Greer's first appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals
Touching back on Greer, he will make his Stanley Cup Finals debut after missing the previous two games due to his lower-body injury. With Greer back in the lineup, Jesper Boqvist will likely find himself relegated to the press box as a healthy scratch.
For his part, Greer has managed only three points in 12 postseason contests but has dished out a solid 45 hits and figures to add quite a bit more physicality to the Panthers' already hard-hitting lineup, as we've seen with Sam Bennett so far.
He had accumulated 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 81 regular-season games for the Panthers this year.
The forward hasn't played since back in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Carolina Hurricanes, held on May 28, when he was limited to just 4:22 of ice time. Prior to that game, Greer missed Game 4 of that series, too.
