Last night's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals has caused controversy as Canadiens fans are calling for Hurricanes forward Taylor Hall to be suspended.
The Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens are locked into a competitive battle in the Eastern Conference Finals.
In game one, Montreal came out flying and used their superior speed and skills to dominate the Hurricanes handing Carolina their first loss of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
After the loss, the Hurricanes changed their strategy and came out much more aggressive and physical trying to slow down the Canadiens pace of play.
At one point, Taylor Hall came flying in and made what looked to be knee on knee contact with Canadiens star defenseman Lane Hutson in overtime.
The hit at the time forced Hutson back to the bench in discomfort and in the aftermath of the game fans shared their outrage calling for Hall to be suspended.

Social media was set ablaze with criticism for Hall with many believing he went out of his way to hit Hutson in the knee.
Fans seem furious with Hall and want him suspended for the next pivotal game of the Eastern Conference Finals but that seems unlikely to happen.
Luckily, it seems Lane Hutson is doing okay and will be available to play in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals despite the questionable hit that led to his injury.
As more information is provided on Hall's potential suspension and Hutson's status for Game 3 we will pass along the latest news.
