The Winnipeg Jets are no longer sitting quietly today, as they have signed a former forward of the Vancouver Canucks to a one-year contract.

The Winnipeg Jets are signing UFA winger Cole Koepke, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. It's a one-year deal worth $1 million, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.
The team has also signed former Vancouver Canucks winger Tanner Pearson to an identical one year, $1 million contract, per Dreger.
Pearson, age 32, scored 12 goals and had a total of 27 points in 78 games with the Vegas Golden Knights last season.

Pearson is a Stanley Cup champion with the LA Kings

A first-round pick (30th overall) by the Los Angeles Kings in 2012, Pearson helped the Los Angeles Kings capture the Stanley Cup in 2014. He has just finished a one-year, $775,000 contract.
The Kitchener, Ont., native has appeared in 722 career NHL games, scoring 150 goals for a total of 312 points split between the Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens and Golden Knights.
Koepke, age 27, scored 10 goals and had a total of 17 points in 73 games with the Boston Bruins last season.
He was a sixth-round pick (183rd overall) by Tampa Bay in 2018 and has appeared in 99 career NHL games, scoring 11 goals with nine assists for 20 total points.
