The New Jersey Devils, in search of a goaltender since the start of the season, recently rejected a massive offer from the Nashville Predators.

Star goalie Juuse Saros was potentially available, but Preds GM Barry Trotz was asking for a lot.
The rejected offer included Saros, Alexandre Carrier (with 50% of his salary retained), in exchange for Dawson Mercer, Seamus Casey, Akira Schmid, a 1st round pick in 2024, and a 2nd round pick in 2025.
This proposal, which included young talent and draft picks, was deemed too costly, according to Full Press Hockey.
Rumors suggest that the Devils might still make a move before the trade deadline on March 8.
