Sidney Crosby has been the face of the Pittsburgh Penguins since he was drafted by the Pens first overall back in 2005. It's never been a risk that Crosby would leave Pittsburgh, as he has been their leader throughout their ups and downs. However, at this year's deadline, there were several rumours that Crosby could be traded.





With the Penguins struggling this year, and Crosby set for a new contract at the end of the season, there was some talk that it would be best for the organization to trade him while his value is still high. Crosby has 32 goals and 32 assists through 64 games this season, an incredible feat for the 36-year-old.

In a recent interview, Crosby reassured Penguins fans that he would love to retire in Pittsburgh, playing his whole career in one city, however right now he is worried about making playoffs.



Clearly, Kyle Dubas has his work cut out for him, as he will have to sign Crosby to what is likely his last contract in the NHL. We will see how Dubas decides to play this during the offseason.
