A new report suggests that a young goaltender who just had the best season of his career could sign his first pro deal with the Edmonton Oilers.

Edmonton Oilers to Sign Young Goaltender Connor Ungar?

Connor Ungar, a 22 year-old goaltender could be on the verge of signing a contract with the Edmonton Oilers and join their AHL afiliate team, the Bakersfield Condors.
Have heard from several sources that standout U SPORTS G Connor Ungar will sign an NHL contract with the Edmonton Oilers and be assigned to the minors.

He had a .932 SV% as an OUA rookie and made 41 saves vs. UNB.
His impressive numbers this season with the Brock University attracted the attention of NHL scouts, including those from the Oilers.
While Ungar has other options on the table, the Oilers are currently the frontrunners to sign him. Considering that the Jack Campbell plan didn't go as well as the organization thought, Ungar could be a great replacement and form a top goalie tandem with Stuart Skinner.
