The NHL has officially announced the release of the entire 2025-26 regular season schedule, as fans have anxiously been awaiting this reveal.

The NHL on Thursday unveiled its 1,312-game 2025-26 regular-season schedule, which gets underway on Oct. 7 with a nationally televised tripleheader on ESPN (U.S.), Sportsnet, and TVA Sports (Canada).
Opening night features the two-time reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers raising their banner prior to opening against the Chicago Blackhawks. Also on opening night: Penguins at Rangers, and Avalanche at Kings.
On October 8, TNT starts with the Bruins against the Capitals and Mitch Marner's first game with his Vegas team against the Kings. Canadian rivals face off the same night as Montreal visits Toronto and Edmonton hosts Calgary.
Canadian Thanksgiving (Oct. 13) will launch "Prime Monday Night Hockey" with a Red Wings-Leafs matinee and a Blues-Canucks night. All 32 teams will play on Oct. 11 and a second time on Oct. 28, with the games evenly distributed over each day.
Global play returns as the Penguins and Predators meet in the NHL Global Series in Stockholm on Nov. 14 and 16.

There will be no NHL games during the Winter Olympics from Feb 6 to 24

The league will suspend play between Feb. 6-24 due to NHL player involvement in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, the first Winter Games contested by NHLers since 2014.
Other highlights include a Stanley Cup Final rematch: Panthers vs. Oilers on November 22 (in Florida) and March 19 (in Edmonton).
The Panthers will also host the 2026 NHL Winter Classic on January 2, their first outdoor game, at Miami's loanDepot Park. Tampa Bay will host the Bruins on February 1 in the Stadium Series at Raymond James Stadium.
Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada is set for January 17, with all seven Canadian teams in action.
