Paul Bissonnette has been involved in a crazy NHL story lately, and Matt Duchene came to his defense after Brad Marchand took some major shots at him. Poor Paul Bissonnette, as a week ago, was right in the middle of a huge bar fight in Arizona. And, man, is it ever turning into one of the wildest stories involving a former NHL player in recent memory. It's become the talk of the town, not only on his 'Spittin' Chiclets' podcast but throughout NHL media and even on TV. In one recent segment of 'NHL on TNT', Bruins captain Brad Marchand just couldn't help it, getting in one hilarious jab at Biz over the whole ordeal.

Later in the broadcast, the crew had Stars veteran Matt Duchene on, and he had a very different take on things. In lieu of playing it for laughs, Duchene doubled down on praise for Bissonnette for standing up in what was very clearly a messy and disturbing situation involving some bad people. Hey Biz, I'm glad to see you're alright dude. And good job stepping in there, the hockey world was really proud of you. - Matt Duchene

Of course, the Marchand comment came full circle in humorous style as Duchene mentioned he saw the clip before his game and had a chuckle with Biz over their accidental good cop, bad cop dynamic in the drama. All the same, while one would certainly wish him all the best following an authorly takedown of some fairly bad characters, it's nice to know that even at times like these, his good sport and jokester reputation come shining through.
