Dallas Stars celebrate a goal in their playoff series vs. the Winnipeg Jets

NHL insider Frank Seravalli took it to the Jets on his latest podcast, where he stated if Winnipeg wants any chance to beat the Stars, they have two things to fix.

The Winnipeg Jets face elimination Thursday night in Game 5 of the Central Division Final against the Dallas Stars, who hold a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Following a President's Trophy win, expectations were lofty, but this playoff campaign has been anything but easy for them.
Connor Hellebuyck has been unable to come up with the saves that they require, and the offense has been unable to keep up with the firepower of Dallas.
The Jets, so good on home ice in the playoffs and regular season, dropped Game 1 at home, which was a difficult beginning to the series.
On 'Daily Faceoff LIVE', Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk discussed what needs to change for Winnipeg to remain in the series and possibly take down the Stars in 7. First on the docket was being consistent, and it extends to two specific categories.
The Jets have been trying hard and have been competitive in flashes, particularly in Game 4, but there are certain aspects that they need to significantly change.

If the Jets can improve their goaltending and power play, they'll be back in the series

According to Seravalli, goaltending needs to be much better, and the power play, which is an abysmal 6.3%, needs to gel as a threat. If the Jets can figure out these two issues, they can get back into the series.
Tyler Yaremchuk: [The Jets] have been damn good on home ice, and I think there's plenty of reason to believe they can extend this series, but if they're going to extend it any further than five games, Frank, what do you need to see from this Jets team?

Frank Seravalli: Consistency. Look, it's not that they haven't worked or haven't played. I mean, Game 4 was there for the taking. They were in the mix. They need more saves. They need their power play, which has been dreadful, to be way better as you can see - 6.3 percent. They need a lot of things to go right to try and carve out that path to get back to level ground. I know that sounds funny to say given the criticism that we just had for the [Toronto Maple Leafs], but the Jetsyou just need one game and slowly begin to turn the tide. The problem with that is Dallas [is] deeper, better defense, [Miro] Heiskanen back, and then [Jake] Oettinger has been rock solid.

Dallas, on the other hand, holds the edge in depth, defense, and goaltending. Add Miro Heiskanen back into the mix and Jake Oettinger's steady presence in the net, and it only gets more difficult. For Winnipeg, it begins with a single victory.
Take the series back out to Dallas and shift the momentum, one step at a time. Easier said than done, however, against a confident and well-balanced Stars squad.
