Former 35-goal scorer Andrew Mangiapane is attracting quite a bit of interest from NHL teams, per insider David Pagnotta, including the Jets and Oilers.

Andrew Mangiapane's contract season did not go as planned, but he's still creating lots of NHL buzz.
After putting together a career-low 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) in his first and only season with the Washington Capitals, the 29-year-old winger is entering unrestricted free agency determined to prove himself.
A stunning fall from his breakout 35-goal season in 2021-22, perhaps, but Mangiapane remains an established NHL producer.

Mangiapane's salary next season is expected to be slashed in half

Pro Hockey Rumors' Brian La Rose foresees him signing a deal worth around $3 million annually, down from the $5.8 million AAV of his expiring contract. Regardless of that, several clubs are lining up for a chance to ink him.
NHL insider David Pagnotta reports that the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets, Boston Bruins, and Seattle Kraken have Mangiapane on their radar.

Despite a subpar season in Washington, his point-per-game upside, speed, and forechecking ability make him a low-risk, high-reward candidate for teams seeking middle-six depth.
Drafted by Calgary as a sixth-round pick in 2015, Mangiapane proved himself a reliable player with the Flames, tallying 109 goals and 106 assists in 417 games.
But his first season away from Alberta was bumpy, and a return to the Capitals is not in the cards. A short-term deal might enable him to recharge, bounce back, and pursue one last big payday come next summer.
