On Tuesday, it was announced that Topi Ronni was charged with a disgusting crime that he committed when he was 17-years old, and now the Calgary Flames have swiftly responded.

Calgary cut all ties with Topi Ronni

Immediately after the verdict came out, the Calgary Flames quickly took to their social media to reveal that they had denounced their rights to Topi Ronni after he was officially charged with a terrible crime.
TEAM STATEMENT: Effective Immediately, the Calgary Flames renounce the rights to unsigned draft pick Topi Ronni

This was the only move for the Flames that have dealt with the bad PR of the Dillon Dube situation in recent years, and it should likely end the potential career of the 19-year old Finnish forward.
Hopefully the victim in the situation gets the justice that they deserve, encouraging more people to speak out about acts like this.
