William Nylander Makes a Play With His Heart on His Sleeve
How many times have we seen William Nylander hit the brakes to avoid contact and lose a battle along the ramp? Far too many times. The Maple Leafs forward is known for being skittish and not paying the price.
It's a shame, because we all recognize his immense talent. However, the effort is not always there. In Montreal, as in Toronto, a lack of effort is automatically pointed out and it raises the discontent of the fans.
In Sunday night's game between the Leafs and the Hurricanes, we were treated to a great sequence from number 88. Nylander never gave up and ended up scoring a hard-working goal. It was worth noting.
