Vancouver Canucks player is looking for a raise from the team which may lead to him being traded.
By choosing to sign with the Vancouver Canucks, Russian free agent Andrei Kuzmenko gave the franchise a fantastic talent.
Similar to Artemi Panarin, he has had a stellar start to the season.
Kuzmenko is a fantastic trade asset with 17 goals and 35 points in 39 games and a $950,000 entry-level cap hit. Vancouver, though, seems to want to hang onto him.
The unfortunate aspect of this is that he is allegedly expecting a bridge deal with a cap-hit above $6 million due to his excellent play.

Here is Pierre LeBrun of The Atheltic's quote on the matter:
I'm hearing that teams are calling more and more on pending UFA forward Andrei Kuzmenko. When one considers how cap-strung so many playoff-bound teams are, a player of his ability and cheap cap hit is a gift from heaven. However, I also heard Tuesday that the Canucks aren't sure yet they want to part with him, as they haven't given up hope on the idea of re-signing him. There haven't yet been any contract talks on an extension between the Canucks and agent Dan Milstein, although I suspect that will happen within the next month. I would imagine the starting price from the Kuzmenko side would be at least $6 million a year on a bridge deal.
This will be a difficult deal to fit in given the Canucks are already close to the salary cap threshold for the upcoming season, not counting captain Bo Horvat if they can find a way to keep him.
Would you move him or bring him back if you were the Canucks general manager?
