Since Marc-Andre Fleury was selected first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2003, very few QMJHL goalies have made it to the NHL.

Just to let you know, the two goalies from the QMJHL circuit that were selected in the first three rounds and have had the most success so far are Jonathan Bernier and Samuel Montembeault. The others have had little or no experience on the Bettman circuit, namely Antoine Lafleur, Marco Cousineau, Zachary Fucale, Philippe Desrosiers and Olivier Rodrigue.
Currently, there is a 15-year-old named Gabriel D'Aigle who is turning many heads. In fact, D'Aigle is the second youngest goaltender in QMJHL history to earn a shutout at 15 years and 11 months.
On Sunday night, Victoriaville hosted about 30 NHL scouts to see the young prodigy in action, even though he will only be eligible for the 2025 NHL draft. Already blessed with a 6'4", 210 lbs frame, D'Aigle has it all.
According to most of these scouts, the Voltigeurs goalie is probably the best since Marc-Andre Fleury.
Funny coincidence, Fleury and D'Aigle are both natives of Sorel. The 15-year-old is already seen as a potential first-round pick in 2025. Now let's see if he can make the first overall like future Hockey Hall of Famer Marc-Andre Fleury.
