The Canadiens set a new record in NHL history this season
To begin with, there are no excuses when it comes to results. The Habs are rebuilding and it's a normal process to lose more often than not, no matter how things turn out.
However, if there is one thing that has hurt the Tricolore, it is injuries. The Habs missed a total of 751 games during the campaign, which is an NHL record.
It's unclear why exactly this happened. The executives on the second floor have certainly been looking at the problem for quite some time and it would be surprising if nothing changed in the organization, to that effect. It is a very concerning situation and certainly something to think about.
