Since we've learned that Carey Price won't be returning to the game, the question of the team's future number-one goaltender remains unresolved. It could be settled this year, if Samuel Montembeault proves he's ready and made for the job, but at the time of writing, that's not the case. The Twitter account Hockey Night in Montreal likes to suggest trades between the Habs and other teams, and it always gets a lot of reaction. This time, they're offering up promising goaltender Dustin Wolf. He excelled in the AHL in 2022-23, winning 38 of his 50 starts and maintaining a .931 save percentage with a 2.09 goals-against average. In Montreal: Dustin Wolf and a third-round pick in 2024 In Calgary: First-round pick in 2025 (CGY), a second-round pick in 2024 and Sean Farrell Sounds big, but that's the price you pay for a quality goalie. The only downside is that the CH already has three goalies on NHL contracts. One of them would have to be included for the proposal to make more sense.

To Habs: Dustin Wolf, 2024 3rd

To Calgary: 2025 first (CGY lol), 2024 2nd, Sean Farrell- 𝙃𝙊𝘾𝙆𝙀𝙔 𝙉𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏 𝙄𝙉 𝙈𝙊𝙉𝙏𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙇 🏒 (@HNIMtl) July 22, 2023
 Credit: Rumeursdetransaction.com
