As of right now, the Buffalo Sabres sit just outside of a playoff spot in the stacked Eastern Conference.

With a record of 25-19-13, they are currently 18th in the overall standings.
With a playoff spot so close and looming, Sabres GM, Kevyn Adams, is looking to be a major buyer for this trade deadline, to acquire the missing piece for the playoff push.
According to Pierre Lebrun, Buffalo Sabres GM Kevyn Adams has been recently discussing with Sharks manager Mike Grier a potential deal involving forward Timo Meier.
Buffalo's offence would greatly benefit from signing the Swiss forward, who will be a restricted free agent at the conclusion of the current campaign. This season, he has played in 49 games and amassed 48 points, including 28 goals.
