Surprise retirement for a goaltender from the Montreal Canadiens organization.

With the surplus of goalkeepers in the Canadiens organization, there were questions about how Kent Hughes would handle having three goalies in Montreal and three in Laval.

It's known that Casey DeSmith is on the market, but even if he were traded, it wouldn't solve the problem with the Rocket. Cayden Primeau probably won't be claimed off waivers.

However, in a surprise move, 33-year-old goaltender Kevin Poulin announces his retirement from professional hockey.

The Montreal native played for the Rocket in the last two seasons and he was very useful. So, it's likely that Cayden Primeau and Jakub Dobes will form the tandem in Laval.
