Ryan Reynolds, the actor and business guru, has expressed his desire to become a minority owner of the Ottawa Senators, and his chances are looking good as the bidding process for the team moves forward. According to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun, Reynolds and his business partners at the Remington Group are ready to make a bid of over $1 billion USD for the Senators, which is significant news for the team and its fans.

Reynolds recently updated CNBC on the bidding process and how it differs from his experience owning the UK football club, Wrexham F.C. Despite not being an expert in soccer, Reynolds believes that accessibility and accountability are crucial to grow the club and community simultaneously.

Currently, at least six other bidding groups are interested in becoming the Senators' new owners, so Reynolds and the Remington Group still have some work to do. However, seeing how Reynolds transformed Wrexham F.C from a bottom feeder into an internationally recognized club, Senators fans should be excited about the prospect of him owning their team.
