Report: Maple Leafs Looking to Extend Max Domi
Max Domi, currently engaged as a player for the Toronto Maple Leafs, is certainly living good right now.
The Toronto Maple Leafs, a team with which his father had a long-standing history, is now his playing ground.
He came onboard with a one-year contract for $3 million. However, sports analyst Elliotte Friedman suggests that a contract extension with the Leafs seems likely in Domi's future.
Domi's Affection for the Leafs
Rumors suggest that several long-term offers from various other teams were on the table for Domi. Yet, his dedication towards the Leafs' franchise led him to choose Toronto for his future.
"Max Domi, he wants this to be his NHL home for a long time, he wants to be a Leaf, he's got the bloodlines to be a Leaf, he'll do anything to stay a Leaf. He never wants to leave here, it's a powerful motivator and that's a major reason he's here and they wanted him."
If Domi delivers an outstanding performance, it won't come off as a shock if he is spotted signing a long-term contract with the Leafs.
