Ottawa Senators Tim Stützle Accused of Diving by Red Wings Coach Derek Lalonde
Senators Tim Stützle is not afraid to help his team draw a penalty. According to Red Wings Head Coach Derek Lalonde, he took a dive to do so.
In the game last night between the Red Wings and the Senators, Detroit's Christian Fischer was given two-minute minor penalty for tripping Stützle. When Lalonde had a chance to review the play afterwards, he was livid.
It is pretty obvious what Lalonde is accusing Stützle of doing, and we have the footage to show you.

Stützle appeared to have embellished that trip a little bit. From his reputation, it is no surprise he did. He is known for taking a dive in attempts to draw a penalty for his team. This time, it did not make a difference in the outcome either way, Ottawa did not score on the powerplay. But they were able to defeat the Red Wings 3-2.
