Long Time Veteran Attempting Comeback with Red Wings
Artem Anisimov has signed a PTO with the Detroit Red Wings in an attempt to crack their roster. Anisimov has been out of the NHL since 2021.

Anisimov last played for the Ottawa Senators, playing 19 games that year. When his contract expired, he was not offered a new one and was forced to play elsewhere. Anisimov has played 771 games in the NHL, dating back to 2008.
Anisimov Has Stayed in Playing Shape Over the Past 2 Years
Anisimov has been playing at a high level still over the past 2 years. In his first year out of the NHL, he played in the KHL for the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv, putting up 19 points in 27 games. He then played in the AHL for Lehigh Valley Phantoms and scored 19 goals and 36 points in 55 games.
