Michel Bergeron stirs up controversy by commenting on the Canadiens' upcoming season
Let's face it: the Habs are currently rebuilding, and it's about time! The team and the fans were there. Seeing the young players emerge as we are seeing now is a beauty, despite the losses.
Speaking to LCN this morning, Michel Bergeron was kind enough to comment on the Habs' upcoming season. Although he places Martin St-Louis' team last in the East, which is very plausible, he then went on to make a rather controversial comment:
"This is the Montreal Canadiens. The Montreal Canadiens can't afford to finish two consecutive seasons 32nd in the League.
I can't believe we're there. I can't believe the Habs are going to fight with the Flyers, Chicago and Arizona to get their hands on Bedard." - Michel Bergeron

In the current NHL era, a rebuild like the Habs are doing can be very positive for a team's future and it doesn't happen with a snap of the fingers, it takes time. Bergy seems to forget that the present is not the past.
