The Detroit Red Wings have delt with major injuries this year as several of their top players have missed time. Now they have seemingly lost another top player with an injury as Patrick Kane left tonight's game against the Leafs early. <h2>Kane Leaves Game Against Maple Leafs Early, Will Not Return</h2> The veteran winger left the game early in the first period. There were a couple of physical plays in which Kane was involved in before he left the game but none of them seemed to be particularly dangerous. The procedure has been known to end or permanently alter professional athlete's careers. Kane has been the only NHL player to come back from the surgery and still play at a high level.
