Kent Hughes has just made four very interesting acquisitions
The free-agent market opened on Saturday, and most of the big names have been snapped up. But that's no reason for Kent Hughes to take a vacation, as he's been very busy in the last few hours.
Indeed, the Habs GM made four acquisitions/signings today, mainly to help the Laval Rocket. But be warned, there are some very interesting names in the bunch.
Strauss Mann, goaltender
Solid goaltender who has wowed the gallery in the NCAA and Sweden's top league. A 24-year-old prospect for whom the NHL is far from impossible.
Tobie Paquette-Bisson, defenseman.
A career AHL player, Tobie is back with the Rocket after a one-year stint with the Reign. He is a stable defenseman.
Jakov Novak, forward
Big 6'3" forward who played in the ECHL last year. An interesting project for the Rocket.
Last but not least:
Jared Davidson, forward
Drafted in the 5th round in 2022, Davidson was breathtaking in the WHL last year with 82 points in 59 regular-season games, plus 23 points in 19 playoff games.
A very eventful day for Kent Hughes!
