Kent Hughes' dream defenseman will soon be on waivers?

According to what The Athletic is reporting, the Calgary Flames are reportedly close to submitting the name of young defenseman Juuso Valimaki.

Unfortunately, with the Flames' excellent defensive brigade, the former 16th overall pick in 2017 is likely to change his address.

Valimaki had about 20 points in 35 games in the AHL last season. In 2021, he had 11 points in the NHL.

Remember that Kent Hughes has the first pick in the draft.
