It is well known that Cole Caufield and Jack Hughes had a great time playing together in the U.S. junior ranks and they have remained very good friends.

If Cole came very close to winning a Stanley Cup a few weeks after his arrival with the Habs, it took Jack Hughes a little longer before the Devils were successful. However, it is the New Jersey team that is currently successful and Hughes took the opportunity to make a promise to Cole Caufield.

Indeed, the Canadiens' forward will be invited to Hughes' party if the Devils win the famous trophy, which could make the number 22 want to lift it too. This could be very advantageous for the Habs.
