The Canadiens' 26th overall pick in 2022, Filip Mesar, was desperate to play in Laval last season. For the sake of his development, the organization decided to send him to the OHL. He was expected to burn up the league, but that didn't happen. Although his performances weren't bad, with 51 points in 52 games, we expected more from him. While some experts believe the Kitchener Rangers were really bad last year and that didn't help, others think the youngster should play another season in the OHL. Such is the case with Anthony Marcotte, who is the voice of the Rocket. It looks a bit like what I've got. However, I think Barron will start at the top and Lindstrom won't make the club. Gignac and Bisson will have regular roles and Légaré will have to earn his ice time for a top 6. I don't see Mesar in Laval despite what he thinks. We recall that in an interview earlier this summer, Mesar said he was looking forward to joining the Rocket for next season. According to him, there's no doubt he'll be in the AHL this season. Does the organization have another plan for him? Either way, it would be quite a slap in the face, as the Slovak would find himself in the OHL for a 2nd year running instead of the AHL.

That sounds a bit like what I've got.
