The Islanders of the late 1970s and early 1980s were simply unbeatable. They won four consecutive Stanley Cups, from the 1979-80 season to 1982-83. At the top of the list were several players who made history for the franchise, including Mike Bossy, Denis Potvin, Clark Gillies and Bryan Trottier, to name a few.
