Hurricanes disaster on the brink of the playoffs
According to information reported by Sportsnet's excellent Ellitotte Friedman, the Carolina Hurricanes are awaiting a second opinion on Andrei Svechnikov's injury, but all indications are that it is a torn ACL (knee).
If this is the case, his season would unfortunately be over and a playoff appearance would be compromised.
The Hurricanes have announced that he will be out indefinitely with a knee injury.
