Friedman Drops Massive Update On Pride Tape Ban

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the NHL has agreed to give the players the option to use tape such as pride tape.
There is word the NHL, NHLPA and NHL Player Inclusion Coalition have agreed that players will have the option to represent social causes with stick tape throughout the season. This includes games and practices

This is a massive step toward helping people from marginalized communities feel included in the hockey community. Many voices within the LGBTQ community had felt shut out by the ban of pride tape.
Now the NHL will allow players who would like to show their support to do so through tape. This is a step forward for the NHL after several steps backaward in making sure that hockey is actually for everyone.
