Former Bruins Captain Dies at 95

The Boston Bruins confirmed the passing of one of their former captains, Ed Sandford, at 95 years old.

It is with sadness that we share Ed Sandford, who had been our oldest living Bruins Alumni member, has passed away at the age of 95.

Remembering Sandford's Illustrious NHL Journey

During his nine-season career in the NHL, Ed Sandford played an impressive 502 games. He was named five times on the all-star team and garnered a total of 251 points. Beyond his tenure with the Bruins, Sandford also played with the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks.

We extend our condolences to Sandford's friends and family.
