Darryl Sutter Caused Fear In Calgary amongst the players

The Calgary Flames were expected to make it to the playoffs this season, but despite making numerous changes including overhauling their core by letting go of Matthew Tkachuk, Sean Monahan, and Johnny Gaudreau, and bringing in Jonathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weegar, and Nazem Kadri as replacements, they failed to qualify.

This resulted in more changes, this time in management, with Brad Treliving stepping down due to his inability to work with head coach Darryl Sutter. The Flames ownership then made the decision to part ways with Sutter after he had numerous issues with various players, including forgetting about one of the Flames' top prospects, Jakob Pelletier.

Additionally, Sutter had conflicts with newly-signed long-term deals players Jonathan Huberdeau and Nazem Kadri. Now that Sutter is no longer in the picture in Calgary we are learning more of his terror he had over his players and staff with sources saying:

That's no way to run a hockey team and understandably one of the biggest reasons why the Flames didn't make the playoffs no one wants to play for a coach like that.
