Corey Perry delivered a powerful message about his future
When the Habs went to the Stanley Cup Final in 2021, a certain Corey Perry was a key player in the lineup. Since then, the forward has done very well in two seasons in Tampa Bay and many believe it is time for him to retire.
Think again. The forward sent a very clear message in the last few minutes.
I still have a lot to offer an NHL team, I'm still capable and I want to continue to play and help the kids. We'll see what happens in the next few weeks and then make a decision."
Indeed, Perry is excellent with the youngsters. We obviously remember the effect he had on Cole Caufield, who had just arrived in the NHL. Imagine if Kent Hughes offered him another contract!
