The Boston Bruins put out a terribly tragic and heartbreaking statement today announcing the passing away of one of their former goaltenders Blaine Lacher. Here is their public statement on his passing.
The Boston Bruins are deeply saddened by the passing of former goalie Blaine Lacher. We send our thoughts and condolences to his family, friends, and teammates.
Lacher was well known for his incredible performances during the Bruins playoff runs in 1994-95 and 1995-96, as he put up 22 wins with a save percentage of .887.
Lacher will be missed by the entire hockey community. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this time.
