Brad Treliving Favoured to Land GM Job with Canadian Team

Toronto Maple Leafs' GM, Kyle Dubas, has found himself on thin ice after the early playoff exit of his team. Even if rumors of contract extension are flowing, names of potential replacements have been released and Brad Treliving is in that list.

NHL Insider Luke Fox piqued everyone's curiosity in a recent paper for Sportsnet by hinting a possible connection between Treliving and Toronto. "You can read it here."

While the idea of seeing Treliving step into Dubas' skates intrigues some, it's also caused a bit of a stir among fans. There are those who believe that Treliving's proactive approach could be the shakeup the Leafs need. On the other hand, the same strategy could backfire.

Treliving's bold move last season to sign Nazem Kadri and orchestrate the blockbuster trade for Matthew Tkachuk definitely makes him look bad. Yet, the question remains, is he the best fit to take up the job from Dubas amidst a pool of other competent contenders?
