Tonight Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand had the misfortune of blocking a shot with one of the most vulnerable areas for an NHL player.

Marchand Receives Slap Shot In The Worst Possible Area

During their matchup against the Winnipeg Jets, Brad Marchand was playing the penalty kill. Setting an example for his team and trying to kill off the penalty Marchand went to block a shot. Unfortunately for him, the slap shot taken by Josh Morrissey impacted Marchand right in his groin.

Despite the pain, Marchand went back to the bench and then continued to play on. As a credit to Marchand, his team won the game 4-1 and Marchand scored a goal in the victory. While Marchand will likely be in pain for the next several days the win will take the sting away just a bit.
