The Carolina Hurricanes, who have been dealing with many issues in the goaltender department this season, officially claimed Spencer Martin from the Blue Jackets.
With Freddy Andersen injured and Antti Raanta struggling, it was only a matter of time before the Hurricanes added a new goalie.
Martin, drafted in 2013 by the Colorado Avalanche at the 63rd overall rank, played 51 NHL games with the Avalanche, Canucks and Blue Jackets.
This season, he had a 3-8-1 record, a 3.65 GAA, and a .887 SV%.
