Last season, the 29 year old Murray had a .903 save percentage and a 3.01 goals-against average, ending with a 14-8-2 record. Despite battling injuries, Murray was deemed was fit enough to be the backup for two games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs' second round. His last game played was on April 2nd against the Detroit Red Wings, where he exited early due to a concussion.
