Alexander Romanov sends a message to his former Habs teammates
Kent Hughes surprised everyone last summer by trading Alexander Romanov to the Islanders, which then allowed him to get his hands on Kirby Dach.
Romanov seemed very popular with his teammates and fans, but the emergence of several young left-handed defensemen made him much less irreplaceable.
Before the game, the defenseman was asked if this is a special duel for him, as he will be playing against his former teammates for the first time. His answer was quite cold and shows that he probably hasn't kept any great friends with the Canadiens.
