With over 22,000 seats at the Bell Centre and a much larger fan base than other hockey markets, it is sometimes difficult to get tickets to see the Habs in action.

For the past several years, ticket prices, coupled with the team's more disappointing performance, have meant that home games are not as often played to capacity.
Montreal Gazette writer Stu Cowan finds something deplorable about this. In his view, pre-season games should be much cheaper, when they are not. We're seeing less experienced players on both sides and the show is less entertaining.
Here are Cowan's words:
"Charging full price for pre-season tickets should be a crime." - Stu Cowan

The reporter also tells an anecdote in the comments, where a father paid full price with his two children to see their idol, Sidney Crosby, at a prep game at the Bell Centre. Crosby was not in uniform (obviously) and they paid a lot of money for nothing in the end.
