A former Canadiens player had a lot to say about St-Louis
Many in the hockey world felt that the Canadiens' hiring of Martin St-Louis made a lot of sense, despite his glaring lack of head coaching experience.
After all, everyone who bet against the Quebecker regretted it at one point or another. For former CH forward Nate Thompson, who played five seasons with Martin, it's not just a question of competence.
I know him very well! He texted me (Thursday), after I announced the news of my retirement, and sent me a nice message. The Canadiens are in very, very good hands with him. He was one of my favorite teammates. Having a guy like that on my side was something special. He's one of the best people I know."

Note the famous "He's one of the best people I know". Thompson isn't the first to say something like that about St-Louis, who nonetheless remains very humble in all this.
The CH has quite a hockey head as a leader. His influence will inevitably strengthen the Habs with all these fine youngsters growing up in his hands.
In a few years, we'll have a whole team in Montreal!
We found out yesterday that @NateThompson44 is retiring from professional field hockey. He joined @HunterZThompson in the Afternoon to talk about MSL, his favourite coach, getting sober and more.
