A significant development has just been reported.
NHL Veteran Schneider Announces Retirement

After an illustrious career, Cory Schneider, 37, has declared his departure from professional hockey.
"Cory Schneider retires from professional hockey"
Here's what Schneider said following the announcement:
"I'm at peace with it. I'll miss my teammates and the intensity of playing, but it's the right time for me. If you had told me as a Marblehead High freshman that I'd play 16 years of professional hockey, I would've laughed in your face."
Schneider took part in 410 NHL games in Vancouver, New Jersey and New York (Islanders). He tallied a 171-159-58 record, 26 shutouts, a 2.43 goals against average, and a .918 save percentage.
We send him our best wishes for the next chapter!
