The Edmonton Oilers' horrid injury luck has continued tonight as the team has now lost Leon Draisaitl to injury as well.

Last month the Edmonton Oilers suffered a major injury loss when Connor McDavid was forced out of the lineup with his latest ailment.
Tonight the Oilers' bad luck seems to have continued as Leon Draisaitl has suffered an injury against the San Jose Sharks in the second period.
After heading down the tunnel, Draisaitl did not return to the bench and now seems to be out for the game.
Several sources have now confirmed that Draisaitl will not return due to the injury he suffered.
At the moment the extent of Draisaitl's injuries is unknown but if he is out long-term this could be an absolute gut punch for the Edmonton Oilers' chances of winning the Stanley Cup.
Draisaitl during this season has been building up an incredible case to win the Hart Trophy as the league's MVP but if he is sidelined for the rest of the season this could potentially impact his ability to win the award.
All updates on Draisaitl's condition will now have to come from head coach Kris Knoblauch in the hours and days following the game.
Hopefully, Draisaitl's injuries are not as significant as they appear and he will be ready for the Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup Playoffs.
As more updates are provided on Leon Draisaitl's injury and recovery from the injury he suffered we will pass the news along to you.
