Winnipeg shuts down Connor Hellebuyck as he undergoes procedure - Will miss extended period of time
The Jets have shut down Connor Hellebuyck as he is to undergo a knee procedure, and he will be out roughly four to six weeks, which is a huge blow to the team.
Jets superstar goaltender Connor Hellebuyck will undergo a minor arthroscopic knee procedure that will keep him out of the lineup for four to six weeks, which was first reported by Darren Dreger of TSN.

The Jets are calling up a goalie from the AHL
It appears as though goalie prospect Thomas Milic will get the call-up from the juniors in order to fill in as the backup, while Eric Comrie will likely be the starter going forward.
Hellebuyck has recorded a .913 save percentage and a 2.51 goals against average in 14 games so far this season. He claimed back-to-back Vezina trophies and is the reigning Hart Trophy winner, so this loss will really hurt.
Why the Jets are at risk of slipping in the standings
Comrie is a capable backup netminder, but where will the Jets sit after 20+ games without their superstar Vezina winner in goal? They are currently third in the Central Division with 24 points and are at risk of slipping without their superstar.
The Jets have a 12-7-0 record after being the Presidents' Trophy winners last year. They got off to a slow start, but appear to have turned the corner before this latest setback.
