Tonight, a new mock trade put together by Heavy.com has suggested the Winnipeg Jets trade top prospect Brad Lambert to the Boston Bruins for immediate help.

The Winnipeg Jets lost significant forward depth this summer when Nikolaj Ehlers decided to sign with the Carolina Hurricanes.
To this point, the Jets have not added many veterans beyond Jonathan Toews who comes with a lot of risk.
Due to the lack of additions, many fans and analyst believe the Jets will rely on their young prospects to fill the void left by Ehlers.
A new suggested mock trade from Heavy.com's Cole Shelton gives the Jets another option trading away Brad Lambert for Boston Bruins veteran Pavel Zacha.

Winnipeg Jets Trade Top Prospect To The Boston Bruins For Immediate Help In Mock Trade

The trade suggested by Shelton would see Lambert sent to the Bruins along with a second-round pick in exchange for Zacha and a 4th-round pick.
Bruins acquire:

Brad Lambert
2028 second-round pick

Jets acquire:

Pavel Zacha
2026 fourth-round pick (Tampa Bay)

Zacha, 28, has been a consistent middle-six producer for the Bruins in recent seasons peaking at 59 points.
As for Lambert, he is coming off of a down year in the AHL but still possesses fantastic speed and offensive potential that would intrigue many teams on the trade market.
It seems as though the Jets are content giving Lambert and other young players a chance to step up and fill the void left by Ehlers.
However, if things start slow for the Jets it will be interesting to see if they explore moving young players for immediate help.
