Jets' Haydn Fleury left Yesterday's game early, and Scott Arniel revealed there would be updates today after practice, where we now know that he's day-to-day. Haydn Fleury has officially been listed as day-to-day, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports, after what appears to be an injury he suffered to his knee.

Loading from Twitter ...

Fleury's injury occurred while blocking a shot during Saturday's game, a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings. He didn't practice at all on Sunday, and Colin Miller moved into the third pair for line rushes to take over in his place. Miller will likely draw into the lineup with Kale Clague, who was just called up today as a backup if Fleury can't go on Monday against the New York Islanders. Clague, a former Brandon Wheat Kings star, has bounced between the NHL and AHL over the past five years since being drafted in the second round by the Kings in 2016, having not been able to live up to expectations.
Kale Clague Signed a One-Year Deal With the Jets This Offseason
He signed a one-year deal for the league minimum with Winnipeg this offseason as he hopes to regain his form. The Jets are also currently down second-pair defenceman Dylan Samberg. Winnipeg will likely now miss Fleury's smooth skating abilities as he recovers from the knee injury, but will have Clague as an option to fill in on the two-game road trip through New York and against the Philadelphia Flyers. Meanwhile, the Jets also reassigned Brad Lambert, 21, to the Moose after a brief stint with the Jets this season. The 2022 first-round pick showed flashes of his potential during his rookie AHL season in 2023-24, where he accumulated 55 points in 64 games and earned AHL All-Rookie Team honors.
