Get ready, Jets fans, as Winnipeg will officially be taking on the Blues this coming Saturday, April 19, at 5 PM CT, as they will be kicking off the playoffs.
This will be the second playoff series for the Blues against the Jets. They previously played in 2019, when St. Louis eliminated Winnipeg in six games on its way to winning the Stanley Cup.
Winnipeg won the season series against the Blues this year
Winnipeg was 3-1-0 against the Blues this season, including a shootout win on Feb. 22 and a more recent win that ended St. Louis' 12-game winning streak.
"They're top of the league, right? They're there for a reason," Blues captain Brayden Schenn said after that 3-1 loss. "They play hard defence, no time and space, good goalie."
This marks Winnipeg's third straight playoff appearance, though they're still waiting for their first series win since 2021. That year, they eliminated the Edmonton Oilers but got swept by the Canadiens in Round 2.
For the Blues, this is their first playoff appearance since 2022, when they reached the second round, their only playoff series win since capturing the Cup in 2019.
